The most effective and sensible way to prevent overpopulation is humane fertility suspension and thus control fertility. Does that sound controversial? Sure, but in the long run, only this can stop the collapse of our planet.
In the following link, you will find a petition (in 16 languages) that you can sign if you want to help the whole world. More than 50 updates and articles speak in favor of a petition that sees the only way to humanely stop giving birth for 7 years! This will lead to a rapid reduction of the population and we would get to the numbers that were here before the overpopulation. More than 65,000 people have already signed.
What does humane fertility suspension mean?
There are several ways to stop fertility. Condoms, oral contraceptives, uterine implants, spermicidal gels, and the others are most commonly used. The permanent solution is vasectomy in men and female sterilization or implantation of blockages into the ovaries.
Another solution is something similar to what China has been practicing since the late 1980s, and thus the one-child policy[i], where couples who had more than one child faced economic sanctions, women were forced into abortions and often lost their jobs. Unfortunately, these drastic measures have also led to secret abortions, the killing of newborns (many families preferred male descendants), or forced sterilization. However, this law has borne fruit, and the country’s population has declined. Already in 2016, the program was terminated, and Chinese couples could afford to have two children. It should be added that even after the abolition of the one-child policy, the birth rate did not rise rapidly.
We should start today and not wait for tomorrow. It is too late already today. It is naive and stupid to think that a neighbor or a friend will do it for us. The world is doomed and it is everyone’s fault. We have multiplied extremely and our planet is unable to work, and our generation may already be witnessing its collapse. Humane fertility suspension (for a time) is the starting point. It is our duty to act responsibly.
